a French word that conveys a range of different feelings: brightness, fragment, to burst, to split …

This word springs to my mind as I look at the fallen flowers and leaves on the streets of New Delhi.

Accidental compositions that capture the vibrancy of fresh plants and their fate on the dusty pavements with their pastel and chalk-like backgrounds…

The difficulty in painting flowers is to end up with a picture that is too pretty and decorative.

The rawness of these street scenes inspire me with new textures and abstract combinations of the ephemeral.
